1. Agreement to terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of theluxuriousdoodle.com (the "Site"), your engagement with our placement services, and any contract you enter with The Luxurious Doodle. By using our Site, placing a deposit, or completing a placement, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Specific puppy placements are governed by the written Placement Contract you sign at the time of delivery. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed Placement Contract, the Placement Contract controls.
2. About The Luxurious Doodle
The Luxurious Doodle is a USDA Class A certified boutique breeder operated by Priscilla Ashburn. Our breeding facility is located at 3350 County Road 114, Baltic, Ohio 43804. Our concierge office is in North Barrington, Illinois. We breed and place Cavapoos, Maltipoos, Mini Poodles, and Petite Goldendoodles.
We are a direct breeder. We do not broker puppies from other breeders. Every puppy we place is born and raised at our certified facility under our direct ownership and oversight.
3. The placement process
Our Bespoke Placement process consists of five steps:
- Private Interview — a personal consultation with Priscilla, in person or by FaceTime / Google Meet.
- Virtual Estate Tour — a live tour of our Ohio estate where you meet the puppies in real time.
- Bespoke Match — we curate the puppy whose temperament and energy best fits your family.
- Placement Deposit — a $500 deposit reserves your puppy. (See Section 4.)
- White-Glove Delivery — your puppy is hand-delivered by a member of our Elite Nanny Network. The final balance is due at the moment of delivery, after you have personally seen and verified your puppy.
Acceptance into our placement program is at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to decline any application or deposit if we determine in good faith that a placement is not the right match for the puppy or the family.
4. Deposits and payments
Deposit terms in plain English: A $500 placement deposit reserves a puppy for you. The deposit is non-refundable, but it is transferable — meaning if your circumstances change, your deposit can be applied to a different puppy from a current or upcoming litter, with our written agreement.
Deposit details
- The placement deposit is $500 and is required to reserve a specific puppy.
- The deposit is non-refundable except as required by law.
- The deposit may be transferred to a different puppy from a current or future litter, subject to availability and our written agreement. Transfers must be requested in writing within 6 months of the original deposit.
- The deposit is applied to the final purchase price of the puppy at the time of delivery.
- If we are unable to provide a suitable puppy and you do not wish to wait for a future litter, we will refund the deposit in full.
Final balance
The final balance is due at the moment of delivery, paid by the buyer to the Elite Nanny upon physical handoff of the puppy. We accept payment by the methods specified in your Placement Contract. We do not accept the final balance prior to delivery.
5. Delivery and transfer of ownership
Ownership of the puppy transfers from The Luxurious Doodle to the buyer at the moment the final balance is paid and the puppy is physically handed over by our Elite Nanny. Until that moment, the puppy remains the property of The Luxurious Doodle.
Delivery is included for buyers within Chicagoland. Delivery to other regions through our Elite Nanny Network is available; the cost varies by distance and is quoted at the time of placement.
If the buyer is unable to take delivery on the agreed date, the buyer must contact us at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule. Re-delivery fees may apply.
6. Health guarantee
Limited Lifetime Health Guarantee: We stand behind our puppies for life. The full terms of our guarantee are detailed in the written Placement Contract you sign at delivery.
Every puppy placed by The Luxurious Doodle:
- Comes from health-tested parents
- Has been examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to delivery
- Is delivered with a written health certificate dated within the timeframe required by law
- Has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming
- Is covered by our written Limited Lifetime Health Guarantee against qualifying genetic and congenital conditions
The full terms, conditions, and remedies of our health guarantee are set forth in the written Placement Contract. Buyer's rights under applicable state law (including the Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act, summarized below) are in addition to the rights provided by our Placement Contract.
7. Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act disclosure
Your rights under the Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act
Under Ohio law, if a licensed veterinarian determines, within the timeframes below, that a dog purchased from our facility was unfit for purchase due to illness or a congenital or hereditary condition, the buyer may have the right to one of the following remedies:
- Return the dog within ten (10) days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price, if a licensed vet certifies that the dog was unfit for purchase due to illness or disease at the time of sale.
- Return the dog within one (1) year of purchase if a licensed vet certifies the dog has a congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects its health.
- Receive a replacement dog of equivalent value, instead of a refund.
- Keep the dog and receive reimbursement of reasonable veterinary costs, up to the original purchase price of the dog.
Conditions for these remedies
To exercise these rights, the buyer must:
- Notify us in writing within the applicable timeframe
- Provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming the condition
- Provide receipts or documentation of any veterinary expenses for which reimbursement is sought
Certain exclusions apply under the statute, including conditions caused by the buyer's neglect, conditions arising from accident or injury after delivery, parasites that do not constitute serious illness, and conditions disclosed in writing to the buyer prior to purchase.

8. Buyer obligations
By accepting placement of a puppy from The Luxurious Doodle, the buyer agrees to:
- Provide a safe, loving, and appropriate home for the puppy
- Take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian for an initial examination within 72 hours of delivery (required for health guarantee coverage)
- Maintain age-appropriate vaccinations and preventive care as recommended by a licensed veterinarian
- Notify The Luxurious Doodle promptly of any health concerns covered by the guarantee
- Never relinquish the puppy to a shelter, rescue, or third party. If the buyer is no longer able to care for the puppy at any time during its life, the buyer agrees to contact The Luxurious Doodle first; we will assist in rehoming.
9. Dispute resolution
We strive to resolve every concern personally. If you have a dispute, please first contact Priscilla Ashburn directly at 847-421-5723 or priscillasperfectpuppies@gmail.com. The vast majority of issues are resolved through direct conversation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. Any unresolved dispute shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois (for placement matters) or Ohio (for matters arising under the Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act), as applicable.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including any rights you may have under the Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act or the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.
10. Limitation of liability
Except where expressly required by law (including the Ohio Pet Purchase Protection Act and the terms of our written Placement Contract), our total liability arising from any placement is limited to the purchase price paid for the puppy. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Website use
The content on theluxuriousdoodle.com — including text, photographs, and the names "The Luxurious Doodle" and "Urban Bridge" — is the property of The Luxurious Doodle and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
You agree not to use our Site to harass, defraud, or impersonate. We reserve the right to refuse service or block access to anyone who misuses the Site.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated through a notice on our website. Continued use of our Site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
